About Me

I offer gentle support in one of the most vulnerable times in a family's life. Preparing for birth and the 4th trimester is an incredibly exciting, but also fraught period for a lot of families. There is so much information to sift through, and everyone has an opinion on “ how to do it”. It can feel overwhelming. Well, there is no perfect way to do it! As a doula, I support and guide my clients' quest for information on what feels practical to them, because no-one else has a pony in their race.

  • I hired Abby as my postpartum doulas after a difficult emergency c-section delivery. She came three days a week during the mornings. Without having close family or parents nearby to help, my husband and I were in desperate need of an extra set of gentle hands to help care for our newborn, toddler and me in my recovery process. She was amazing, empathetic and thoughtful. I never had to worry about being judged and I felt like she just understood my experiences or was at least willing to listen and provide some comfort. In addition to being an educator and compassionate listener, she also helped so much with house chores, like laundry, the dishes, making breakfast, and when I needed to sleep or just rest she took the baby and cared for him as if he were her own. She immediately fit right into our family and my toddler loved spending time with her. I can't recommend Abby enough, regardless of how you choose to birth or end up birthing, and however you choose to feed your child this doula will support you through it. If you are worried about surviving the first few weeks of postpartum life don't hesitate to book her. This will be one of the best investments you will ever make!

  • Abby was the attending doula for my labor and I truly could not have gotten through my unmedicated birth without her support, encouragement and coaching.

  • "She was with us the entire 17 hours I labored, helping me feel comfortable and keep my labor moving along, working through different positions and supporting both me and my husband. She brought food and various useful items, like a hand fan and massage ball. My husband and I agree that our labor and delivery experience would have been radically different and we would have been so worried and stressed if Abby wasn't there to support us. Our nurses and midwives also seemed to appreciate Abby's presence."
